I broke my previous (non Anglepoise) desk lamp so had to look for a replacement. Other similar copies of Anglepoise were on the market for a much cheaper price so I was reluctant to pay the higher price for this particular make. However, I'm glad I did as it is far superior to the cheaper models. It took seconds to put together and is light, easy to adjust and stays exactly in the position you angle it at. Importantly, it is very stable and looks so elegant on my small desk. I wish I'd had one years ago. The only criticism I have is that the on/off switch is on the flex rather than on the lampshade, but I have got used to this now. Also, a daylight bulb would have been better than the ordinary one supplied, which is a bit dim.

Expensive for what it is but cheap when compared to the original! Like the original it works well. Just a shame that when they moved the switch from the shade they did not place it in the base rather than on the power lead.

No - several weeks over Christmas. Yes but assembly screws not fitted. Custsomer service readily available and helpful Lamp arrived with some screws unscrewd. The instructions were very poor. There was no general diagram identifying each element and where it should be fixed in this simple assembly. A seccond packet of screws (quite different from the first)was sent. Now all is well.

This fabulous lamp came within a couple of days of ordering in a nice Anglepoise Box. Although I did ask my husband to put it together I am sure I could have done that myself. It is strong, bright and looks great as my bedside lamp.
